Embrace your Asymmetries
One eyebrow sits a little higher. One side of your jaw carries more weight. One eye opens slightly wider than the other.
"I can beat that. My right ear sits lower than the left. It looks awesome when I wear glasses (et ehm), esp aviator sunglasses, they really drive home just how crooked I am. I can keep going, my right shoulder sits 2 inches lower than my left, a newly acquired trait in the last 10 years".
You notice it because your looking closely - but here's the truth: no face is perfectly symmetrical. Not celebrities, not models, not anyone. Facial asymmetry is completely normal human anatomy, shaped by the side we were predominately lying on while developing inside our mom, how we chew, sleep, smile, AGE, and simply live in our bodies.
Your observations aren't wrong - they're just missing context. Asymmetry isn't a flaw to fix. It's what makes your face yours.
Patients will have a tendency to notice certain asymmetries after their Botox treatment. Typically because the eye has been so fixated on the wrinkles, it never noticed the baseline discrepancy. Exact reason why your injector should be taking photos before injections. every. single. appointment.

Having a discussion around a patients natural asymmetries is not a "lets pick you apart moment", but rather a clinical observation, a joint awareness. Discussions should include an anticipated outcome: correction or exacerbation of asymmetry post injection.
At SC Aesthetics we provide thorough education at every treatment session. Astute documentation and record keeping monitors and tracks each patients progress. I find it so rewarding showing my patients where we started and how much they've halted their aging process over the years.
I have the BEST job. lol
